Once, we were manufacturing amusement AR readers. After assembling 2000 units, 50 plastic connectors were rejected for breakage. As a salesperson, I was aware that a 2% rejection rate mandates a 100% rework of all products. Our production manager was reluctant to do so, claiming that repeated inspections would overburden the staff if the products appeared to be in good condition initially. I opposed this suggestion, and a full 100% recheck still uncovered a 2% rejection rate. This proved my approach was correct—problems can still arise even when everything seems fine at first glance.
